Wodify identifies personal records (PR) for every Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Weightlifting Total, and benchmarked Metcon completed by each athlete. PRs are identified by a gold badge that is located next to the result on both the Coachboard and the Whiteboard.
Note: PRs are only tracked after the athlete completes the same exercise or metcon more than one time.
In this article, we will cover:
Gymnastics
Gymnastics PRs are determined by most reps only.
Weightlifting Totals
Weightlifting Totals PRs are determined by most total weight.
Weightlifting
There are three ways to PR on a weightlifting exercise:
- This is the heaviest weight you've ever used for this exercise. (WEIGHT BASED)
- This is the most weight you've moved at these reps UNLESS you've moved more weight at higher reps. (WEIGHT AND REP BASED)
- You've completed more sets at the same weight and reps as a previous result. (VOLUME BASED)
Below is an example of one athlete’s performance history for Back Squats:
Past Performance
Exercise | Date< | Sets | Reps | Weight |
Back Squat | 1/1 | 5 | 5 | 270 lbs |
Back Squat | 1/7 | 2 | 4 | 255 lbs |
Back Squat | 2/1 | 1 | 5 | 280 lbs |
Back Squat | 3/1 | 1 | 1 | 325 lbs |
Back Squat | 3/15 | 2 | 2 | 295 lbs |
Below are four different results for the same athlete. Taken on their own accord and compared to the past performance table above, are the results below PRs?
Date | Sets | Reps | Weight | Is it a PR? | Explanation |
4/1 | 4 | 1 | 350 lbs | Yes | WEIGHT BASED This is the most weight ever moved. |
4/1 | 1 | 5 | 290 lbs | Yes | WEIGHT & REP BASED Prior to this lift, the most lifted at 5 reps was 280 lbs |
4/1 | 3 | 2 | 295 lbs | Yes | VOLUME BASED Beat the 3/15 performance by 1 set. |
4/1 | 2 | 4 | 260 lbs | No | Although this is 5 lbs heavier than the 1/7 performance; we have moved more weight for more reps on 1/1 and 2/1. |
