The Drag & Drop Editor is designed to help you build your Marketing Emails and Workflows emails! The combination of drag-and-drop ease, plus full customization options, will have you building dynamic, engaging emails in no time.
In this article, we'll cover:
Basic overview
The email body contains two types of components:
-
Rows
- These are the outermost "container" inside the email body
- Stacked from top-to-bottom, filling the whole width, and expanding to fit the height of their content
- Rows contain "columns" that fill the width of the email body "Content Area"
- You can add or remove columns in an existing row, or add a new row with a pre-configured column layout
-
Content blocks
- These can only be placed inside Row columns
- They stack vertically inside a column, fill its width, and expand to the size of their own contents
- See below for more details!
Getting started
-
Click and drag any row or content block from the right sidebar into the email body.
- Content blocks will stack from the top of their container by default, so use "Spacer" blocks if you need blank space between other content blocks
- Once you have a content block entered, clicking on that content block will change the Content tab on the left to that block's settings. Each type of content block has its own unique settings. This will also open up a text formatter for any text blocks.
- Content blocks will stack from the top of their container by default, so use "Spacer" blocks if you need blank space between other content blocks
- At any time, you can toggle your view from desktop to mobile in the editor, to see how the email will look in each format.
- If you have Custom Branding enabled, your custom branding colors will be automatically applied to your content blocks' color scheme. You can change these at any time, too!
- Each content block's settings will have the optional setting to hide the block on desktop or mobile if you need to.
-
This allows you to customize the appearance of your email on mobile devices, such as an alternate copy, layout, etc.
-
By default, this setting is automatically set to "Off", choose the icon for desktop or mobile on where you would like to hide it
-
Toggling the Drag & Drop Editor between Desktop and Mobile in the top-left of the editor will allow you to see what the changes look like
- As always, the best way to check an email's appearance is to use the Send > Send Test feature!
-
Content Blocks
The blocks that are available:

- Adjustable content properties include the video title, thumbnail icon settings, and padding on either side

-

- Adjustable content properties include icon themes, displayed social links, adding new social links and icons, spacing and alignment, and padding on either side
-
Icons: create your own small sticker-like icons (like social media buttons), using images from your Media Library. Turn your logo into a sticker that links to your website, to add to the top or bottom of your email!
- toggle More Options on next to the icon to create a link that opens a website, send an email, send an SMS, or make a call
- Other adjustable content properties include adding text to icons with customizable fonts and colors, icon spacing, icon size, and icon padding
Advanced

- Note: Wodify Support is not equipped to assist with custom HTML code. It's recommended to defer to someone with expertise in HTML coding for help with this if you're not an expert yourself
