This article will walk you through the process of creating Appointment Services, which are the Foundational building blocks for services like Personal Training, Massage Therapy, and things like No Sweat Intros.
In this article, we will cover:
Creating an Appointment Service
- Select Appointments
- Select Services
- Select New Service in the Top Right Corner
- Set up the Basic Information
- If you select one of the Pre-Templated options this will set the Service Name and the Icon Associated.
- Set Up the Number of Clients who are able to Attend a Single Appointment
- If you intend to have 1:1 Personal Training AND Small Group Training, you will want to set these up as different services.
- You can also set a limit to the number of free trial leads allowed in each appointment. For more information, please view our article on Setting Free Trial Limits
- Set up the Service Duration
- If you would like to have multiple Service lengths, ie. 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours - you are able to select each option within this singular template.
- Select Next
- Select the Location(s) and Provider(s) of this New Service
- Select Next
- Set the cost for a Single Session
- Keeping in mind that you will be able to adjust for multiple sessions after this initial service is created, and will be able to adjust this amount for a single session at any time in the future. This information is offered in - Creating an Appointment Membership
- Update the Revenue Category as Needed
- Please utilize the Using Revenue Categories Article with any questions on why you might adjust this information.
- Select or Adjust Tax Rates as needed
- Select Next
- Select the Booking Window Opening & Closing Times
- Select the Start Times
- This is the time at which an Appointment may START, if you have 30-minute sessions and 1-hour sessions but only allow Appointments to start on the :00 Hour, then a 30-minute session will automatically have a 30-minute window after the fact as the next Appointment is only able to start 30 minutes later at the next :00 Hour.
- Select the Buffer Time
- If you need providers to have at least 15 minutes to process through notes on a session, ensure the appointment room is properly cleaned between sessions, etc. you will want to add in 15 minutes Buffer Time to ensure they have that time needed between their Appointments.
- Select Next
- Select to set up the Waiver Templates with the newly created Service (Grow, Promote, and Free Unlimited only)
- Select Finish
