Why This Matters

Pre-requisite Pro-Tip

  1. Before you can begin the integration, you'll need to sign up for your MailChimp account.

Step-By-Step How To

 

Setting up the MailChimp Integration


First, add an audience of MailChimp:

  1. Login to MailChimp
  2. Select the Audience Tab
  3. Select the Audience Dashboard and Open your Audience 
    • If you don't already have one setup Create Audience
    • Pro Tip: Take note of the name of your audience, you'll need this later!
  4. Click View Contacts
  5. Select All Contacts, then E=expand the More Options dropdown menu.
  6. Click Audience fields and merge tags.
  7. Select Create a new field and create the fields below:
    • Make Field label: Active
    • Select Radio Button
    • Enter Yes for the first choice
    • Enter No for the second choice
  8. Select Save

Note: If you have multiple locations in Wodify and you would like to have a separate MailChimp Audience by Location, please be aware of the Location field. When adding the 'Location' field, you will want to make sure to make the field type as 'Text.' This location will pull from the clients' default location within their Wodify profile and will allow you to send emails within Mailchimp based on Location.

 

Setting up the Wodify Integration

  1. Select Communication > Settings
  2. Select MailChimp Integration tab
  3. Select Enable
  4. New fields are displayed:
    1. MailChimp API Key
      1. To find your key, go back to MailChimp and click on your Profile Icon (upper right corner)
      2. Select Account & Billing
      3. Select the Extras Tab
      4. Click Create New Key
        1. Add an API Key Name
        2. Click Generate Key
        3. Copy to Clipboard. Save this as you can only view it once. If you need the API key again, you will need to generate a new one. 
        4. Paste this value into the MailChimp API Key Field in Wodify
    2. MailChimp Audience
      1. Enter the name of the audience you just created in MailChimp
      2. Add existing clients to MailChimp
         

Finally, if you have existing clients in Wodify, you can easily add them to your MailChimp audience:

  1. Select Communication > Settings > MailChimp Integration
  2. Select the link Add existing Clients to MailChimp

     


 


 

FAQs

  1. "Will I need to repeat this process as new clients are created in Wodify?"
    Answer: No, all clients created after your MailChimp integration will automatically be added to your MailChimp audience.
  2. "Is a MailChimp plan included in my Wodify subscription?"
    Answer: No. Aside from offering platform integration, Wodify is not associated with MailChimp and therefore cannot offer any kind of bundle in services.
