Why This Matters

With the Self-Service Point of Sale feature, you can set up a kiosk where clients can check out and pay for retail items themself, rather than needing a coach or staff member to check them out. Self-Service Point of Sale requires your admin password to return to the admin side of Wodify Core.

 


 

Step-By-Step How To

 

Entering and Exiting Self-Service Point of Sale Mode

 

To enter Self-Service POS:

  1. Click on the Extensions shortcut in the bottom left of your Wodify admin screen and launch Point of Sale
  2. Select the hamburger menu icon in the upper left corner 
  3. Click Self Service

     

To exit Self-Service POS

  1. Click 'End Session' in the top left 
  2. Select the Admin, Manager, or Coach from the dropdown menu, and enter the password for that account

 

How Clients use Self-Service POS

 

Checkout as a Member:

This option is for anyone that has an active Client profile in Wodify with your business.

  1. Select any items to purchase
  2. Click into Cart on the left-hand menu to review and check out
  3. Enter any Promo Codes if applicable
  4. Click the Checkout button when ready to pay
  5. Start entering your name (as it appears in Wodify) until it auto-populates below, then click on your name
  6. Depending on the business's Self-service Security Settings, you'll then enter in either your Password, Pin or last 4 of your phone number.
  7. Choose your payment method from the available list
  8. Once you click Pay, you will receive a confirmation message that your purchase was successful, as well as an emailed receipt for the purchase.
  9. You will have the option to continue shopping, which will time you out automatically after a few seconds if you don't select it.

 

Checkout as Guest:

This option is for anyone who doesn't currently have an active Wodify profile with your business

  1. Follow steps 1-4 above
  2. Once you click Checkout, you'll click 'Checkout as guest'
  3. Optionally, enter your Name and Email in order to receive an invoice
  4. Select New Credit Card
  5. Enter your Credit Card details
  6. Click Pay when ready to complete your purchase

 

Creating or Editing a PIN for Self-Service POS

From the Client App:

  1. Go to the Menu in the top left corner
  2. Select Settings from the list
  3. Under settings, select the PIN option
  4. Enter your PIN
  5. Select Update to save any changes

 


 

 

 


 

FAQs

  1. "Can clients pay by cash or check in self-service mode?"
    Answer: Only if you have checked them as options in Retail > Settings.
  2. "Why don't I see the ability to add my purchase to an upcoming invoice when I go to checkout?"
    Answer: Either your gym has toggled it off or you don't have an invoice due within the time frame set up by the business.
  3. "Can I update my saved/default payment method during checkout?"
    Answer: Members cannot update or replace an existing saved payment method directly in Self-Service POS. You can only select an existing card or enter a new card. To edit existing payment methods, you must use the Client App or contact an admin/coach.
