Connecting a domain provides the strongest email deliverability because mailbox providers can authenticate your messages more reliably than when only an individual sender address is connected. This reduces bounce rates, avoids spam filtering, and ensures your brand’s communication stays consistent.
Recent shifts in Google and Yahoo’s verification requirements also make domain-level authentication increasingly important for reliable long-term delivery.

Pre-Requisite Pro-Tip

Before you connect a domain, we recommend validating that it is properly authenticated and healthy for email deliverability. Use a testing site like mail-tester.com and ensure the “You’re properly authenticated” section passes. If it does not, resolve issues with your DNS provider prior to sending emails from your domain.

Step by Step How To:

Add a Domain

  1. Navigate to Communication > Settings > Domains & Emails.

  2. Select Add Domain.

  3. Enter the domain you own (for example, yourgym.com) and click Add Domain.

  4. Your domain will appear in Pending status. Select the domain name to open the sidebar.

  5. Copy the CNAME and TXT records displayed in Wodify.

  6. Log into your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Squarespace, etc.) and add the required DNS records:

    • 3 CNAME records

    • 1 MX record (optional, but helps with deliverability)

    • 1 TXT record (or 2 TXT records if your domain has been added by another gym in Wodify)

    • If your domain already has a _dmarc record, do not replace it; include the recommended p=none; attribute if possible for best deliverability.

  7. Save your DNS changes.

  8. Return to Wodify and click Check Connection to verify your setup. Connection can take 5 minutes to 48 hours.

    • Wodify checks automatically every 6 hours and notifies you via email when complete.

    • If the connection has not succeeded after 72 hours, the attempt will automatically fail.

Remove a Domain

  1. If the domain is still Pending, open the sidebar and select Remove Domain.

  2. If the domain is Connected, remove the DNS records from your domain provider before disconnecting it from Wodify to prevent future issues.

    • Only remove the DNS records that Wodify originally instructed you to create.

  3. In Wodify, click Disconnect Domain and confirm.

    • A domain cannot be removed if it is assigned to any upcoming scheduled emails.

How to Manage Connected Email Addresses

  1. Go to Communication > Settings > Domains & Emails.

  2. Under Connected Email Addresses, select Add Email Address.

  3. Enter the email address you want to send from.

    1. Wodify no longer allows connecting individual emails in Core. Connected Email Addresses must be associated with a Connected Domain.

  4. You may customize the local part of your default @wodifymail.com address, but this default address cannot be removed.

  5. @wodifymail.com addresses can send but not receive emails. Set a different reply-to address if you need two-way communication.

  6. To delete a connected email address, click ••• > Delete and confirm.

    • Refresh your page if statuses do not update immediately.

Using Connected Email Addresses

When building a Marketing Email:

  1. Open the Sender dropdown and choose any verified sender address.

  2. Admins can click Manage Connected Email Addresses directly from the dropdown to edit or remove stored addresses.

  3. As a best practice, use the same email address for both Sender and Reply To fields to maximize deliverability.
