Wodify Point of Sale (POS) is a simple, in-platform tool for selling Retail products to clients and guests. It also allows you to process refunds and manage product returns, making in-person transactions quick and seamless.
Step-By-Step How To
How to Access and Use Point of Sale
Go to Extensions > Point of Sale.
Select the Product tab to browse items available at your current location.
Click a product to view its details.
Choose the quantity and any options (if applicable).
(Admins/Managers only) Apply a one-time discount on the product page when needed.
Click Add to Cart.
To edit an item in the cart, click it > update options > Update Cart.
Continue shopping or click Checkout.
Select Add Client (to use stored payment) or Checkout as Guest.
Choose the payment method, follow the prompts, and click Pay Now.
How to Clear the Cart
Click the ellipsis menu (…) in the cart.
Select Clear Cart to remove all products, or
Add a Cart-Wide Discount
Open the ellipsis menu (…).
Select Cart Discount.
Set a $ or % discount and click Save.
Add Products via Barcode
Scan the product’s barcode or type it into the field at the top of the cart.
The product automatically loads for quick add-to-cart.
How to Refund an Invoice or Return a Product via POS
Go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of POS.
Select Invoices.
Search by invoice ID or customer name.
Open the invoice.

Click Actions and choose:
Full Refund & Return – refund the entire purchase and return all inventory.
Refund/Return – refund a specific item or amount.
Provide a full refund with one click, or check the boxes beside the items to refund and toggle on/off whether the product should be returned to the inventory.
How to Enable and Create a PIN for Self-Service POS
To Enable:
Go to Retail > Settings
Scroll to Self-Service Security Setting
Check the box beside Retail Pin
To Create:
Within the Client mobile app, tap the hamburger icon in the top left
Tap Settings
Select Pin
Enable Use of the Client’s Last Four Digits of Their Phone Number as Their PIN
Go to Retail > Settings
Scroll to Self-Service Security Setting
Check the box beside Last 4 Digits of Phone Number
How to Enable a Minimum Cart Value
Transaction fees on low-priced items can cut into your margins. Wodify’s Minimum Cart Value feature helps protect your profits by preventing card-based purchases below your preset minimum threshold. When enabled, admins, managers, coaches, and clients cannot complete a POS purchase below your MCV when paying with:
Stored credit cards
Stored bank accounts
Card swipes at checkout
To enable MCV:
Navigate to Retail > Settings.
Under Minimum Cart Value, toggle on Enable Minimum Cart Value.
Enter your Minimum Cart Value dollar amount.
Click Save.
Note:
Guest checkout can still complete purchases under your MCV. This ensures prospective clients can still buy retail products without barriers.
FAQs
- "Can I sell a membership or tore credit via PoS?"
Answer: Memberships cannot be sold at PoS, but store credit can! Please check out our Selling & Using Store Credit for more details on this process. - "What if a product shows out of stock in POS, but I am holding it in my hand and someone wants to buy it?"
Answer: Choose ‘Custom Sale’ from the products list, fill out the details pertaining to that product, and add to the cart. If you are an admin or manager you can adjust inventory later. - "How do I change the location I am making the sale from?"
Answer: If you have multiple locations, click on the Locations dropdown menu on the top navigation bar and select the location you are selling from.
