Why This Matters

Rollover memberships allow unused classes or appointments to rollover to the next membership period once the attendance limit resets or renews for class plans and appointment plans.

Pre-requisite Pro-Tip

This feature will not apply to Class/Appointment packs as these will only auto-renew once all sessions in the pack are used.

Step-By-Step How To Enable Rollovers

  1. Go to Classes > Memberships
  2. Create New Membership > New Class Plan
  3. Attendance Limit > Limited > Toggle ON 'Rollover Unused Classes'
  4. Set custom parameters
  5. Save

FAQs

  1. What does “No limit on the total number of rollover classes” mean?
If you choose this option, all unused sessions will automatically roll over to the next renewal period. There is no cap on how many sessions a client can accumulate over time.

  2. What does “Client can attend a maximum number of classes in a booking period including rollovers” mean?
With this option, you can set a specific limit on how many total sessions (including rolled-over ones) a client can have in a given attendance period.
Example: If you offer a 5x/month membership, you could set the total limit to 8. This means the client can have up to 8 sessions in that month, including any carried-over sessions.

  3. How does rollover work with Appointment plans?
For Appointment plans, the number of sessions that roll over is determined by how many sessions were booked and signed in during the current period.

  4. What happens when I manually generate the next membership?
When you manually generate a client’s next membership, you’ll see an option to specify how many sessions you’d like to roll over.

  5. Can I roll over more sessions than the unused amount or set limit?
No. You cannot roll over more sessions than the number of unused sessions a client has, or exceed the maximum rollover limit you’ve set.

  6. How do I enable Rollovers for new membership purchases?
To enable Rollovers for new memberships moving forward, update your membership templates:

Go to Classes > Memberships or Appointments > Memberships.

Edit the membership template and turn on the Rollover toggle.

    Save your changes.

  7. How do I enable Rollovers for existing members?
This depends on whether the member’s invoice has been paid or not:

    If the invoice is unpaid:

Go to the client’s profile and click on their membership.

Under the Attendance Limits section, turn on the Rollover toggle.

    Save your changes.

    If the invoice is paid:

Follow the steps in Adjust, Cancel, or Hold an Existing Membership.

You’ll find the same Rollover toggle there to enable the feature.
