Why This Matters
Updating a client’s default location ensures their classes, communications, and memberships are aligned with the location they visit most often, keeping your schedules, reports, and billing clean and accurate.
Pre-requisite Pro-Tip
Before you change a client’s default location, make sure they have the correct membership and payment method set up for the new location. Changing the default location does not automatically update their membership’s location of sale or location access; you may also need to update their membership programs/location access so they can book and be billed correctly at the new site.
Step-By-Step How To
Once saved, this location will be the client’s default for class filtering, reporting, and other location-based views, as long as their memberships and location access are configured accordingly.
To Change Default Location for an Individual Client
Go to People > Clients in your Wodify Core admin account.
Use the search bar to find the client whose default location you want to update, then click their name to open the client profile.
In the client profile, click the Profile tab.
Scroll to the Details section.
Use the Default location dropdown to select the new location for this client.
Click Save.
To Mass Update Default Location
Go to People > Clients in your Wodify Core admin account.
If needed, use the Filter on the right to select a target group of Clients.
Check the Select All box on the left.
If the Client list spans more than one page, click the "Select all # items in the list."
Click the ellipses icon on the left and select "Change Default Location"
Select the new Location from the dropdown menu and click Save
FAQs
- "Does changing a client’s default location move their memberships or billing to the new location automatically?"
Answer: No. Changing the default location only updates the profile setting. You’ll still need to make sure the client has an appropriate membership and payment method configured for the new location so they can book classes and be billed correctly there. - "Will classes automatically show for the client at their new default location?"
Answer: Class visibility depends on the location access attached to the client’s membership, not just their default location. After changing the default location, confirm that their membership includes the new location so they can reserve and attend classes there.
