Why This Matters
Make it easier for appointment & class providers by allowing them to automatically block availability through a variety of digital calendars, as well as view their schedule directly from their personal calendar!
Pre-requisite Pro-Tip
In order to access the Availability tab in a Client Profile, the Profile must have at least the Coach role selected. Even guest Service providers need to have this permission to open up this feature.
Step-By-Step How To
How the Sync Works
Appointments allow Providers to sync their Google, iCloud, Outlook, AOL, or Yahoo calendar with Wodify. IMAP Connections are also supported. The Calendar sync works with Appointments & Classes in two ways:
- Any busy events on a provider’s personal calendar will be added as “blocked time” to their availability calendar in Wodify. Once set up, new events added or changed on Google calendar will sync with Wodify in about 15 minutes or sooner.
- Any of a provider’s appointments booked in Wodify will be added to their Calendar automatically as blocked time.
Setting up the Sync
- The Admin, manager, or coach can head to their own client profile and select the Personal Information tab. Then click Add Email Account (located at the bottom of the screen).
- Select a calendar in the Export section - This will select which personal calendar will receive your Wodify-scheduled Classes & Appointments.
Select one or more calendars in the Import section - This calendar will be imported into Wodify. The time(s) of events in any selected Import calendars will be marked in your Wodify calendar as "blocked".
Note: Information about the client will be included in the notes section of the Google Calendar event.
FAQs
- "Can I make changes to the appointment through the Google Calendar event?"
Answer: Changes made to the Google Calendar event will not be reflected in Wodify. - "Can I set this up on behalf of my coach?"
Answer: No, a provider will need to be logged into Core with their own credentials and then sign into their own Account. What's IMAP mean? IMAP allows you to access your email wherever you are, from any device. When you read an email message using IMAP, you aren't actually downloading or storing it on your computer; instead, you're reading it from the email service. As a result, you can check your email from different devices, anywhere in the world: your phone, a computer, a friend's computer.
IMAP only downloads a message when you click on it, and attachments aren't automatically downloaded. This way you're able to check your messages a lot more quickly than POP.
