With Wodify Payments (and with most payment processors in general), you’ll notice that there’s a delay between when your client is billed, and when that money is deposited into your bank account.

The process of confirming a credit card or ACH/direct debit payment takes several steps for confirmation and security; depending on your location, the number of steps and the time to process them can vary.

This article will lay out the payout processing timeline for different countries using Wodify Payments. You can refer to the chart below to see the processing time between when a payment is made by your client, and when that payment is deposited to your connected bank account.

Card versus Bank Account Processing

Processing and payout timing depends on the payment method:

Payment Method What to Expect
Credit or Debit Card Usually confirms quickly; eligible card payments are generally paid out on the next business day where next-business-day payouts apply.
Bank Account / ACH Takes longer to settle, commonly around 2-3 business days for processing. Payout occurs after the ACH payment has finished processing.

Weekends and bank holidays can delay both settlement and deposits. This can make deposits appear to arrive Tuesday through Friday even when payments were accepted over a weekend.

Why an ACH Payment Says “Paid” but Has Not Arrived

An ACH payment may display as paid after the initial authorization or processing step, but funds are not fully settled until the bank completes processing. If the bank later rejects the debit, the transaction can be reversed or marked failed.

If a client sees a charge in their bank account but it does not appear as a completed transaction in Wodify, the bank may have initially authorized or shown the transaction before later declining or returning it. The client should contact their bank for details about the bank-side decline or hold.

Example: If your account is in a country with a 3 business day payout speed, Wodify Payments pays out funds daily from transactions captured 3 business days earlier. Most banks deposit payouts into your bank account as soon as they receive them, though some might take a few extra days to make them available. The type of business and the country you’re in can also affect payout timing.

Note: When processing a large amount of transactions, like on the first of the month, your payouts may take longer than usual for successful payment to appear in the Financial > Payouts view.

Refund Timing

After a refund is initiated, it typically takes 5-10 business days to appear in the member’s bank account. The exact timing depends on the financial institution and the original payment method.

Changing Your Payout Bank Account

After you update your payout bank details:

  • Invoices processed after the update deposit to the new bank account.
  • Invoices processed before the update continue routing to the previous bank account.

Updating payout details does not redirect funds from transactions that were already processed.

Remember, you can always check the exact date a payout will be processed in your Wodify admin portal, under the Financial > Payouts tab.
