Embedding Videos and Images in a Workout

This article will help you embed videos from YouTube and Vimeo and images into your Workout so that clients can view them in-app and at the Kiosk.

How to Embed Videos in Workouts

To embed a video in your Workout, head to Workout > Calendar or Workout > List and click into the Workout. 

  1. Click Add Video or hit the 'V' key on your keyboard.mceclip0.png
  2. Then, add a URL for a YouTube or Vimeo video and enter a comment to describe the video. Your comment can be up to 300 characters. Be sure to hit 'Save' when you are finished!mceclip1.png
  3. The video will then be embedded in your Workout!mceclip2.png

 

The video will be viewable from the Kiosk on each of the following screens:

  • Workout
  • Coachboard
  • Whiteboard

 

Your clients can view the video right from their app! In the Wodify Athlete App, the video will appear as shown below:

Youtube and Vimeo URLs

To copy the URL from YouTube to Wodify, you have two options:

  1. Copy the URL directly from the browser bar
    (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruI8t9148uA)

  2. Copy the shortened 'Share' URL from YouTubemceclip0.png

Note: Your YouTube video cannot be set to Private. It must be Unlisted or Public. Here is more info on how to update your video's privacy settings

 

To copy the URL from Vimeo to Wodify, you have two options:

  1. Copy the URL directly from the browser bar
    (e.g. https://vimeo.com/134716774)

  2. Copy the 'Share' link from VimeoVimeo_Link_Share_2.png

Note: Private Vimeo videos are supported, but embedding must be enabled on the video in order for it to appear correctly in Wodify. If you are having trouble embedding your Vimeo video, check to ensure that embedding has not been disabled on the video. You can do this in Settings > General > Privacy.Vimeo_Embed_Settings.png

 

 

How to Embed Images in Workouts

To embed a video in your Workout, head to Workout > Calendar or Workout > List and click into the Workout.

  1. Click Add An Image                                            mceclip3.png
  2. Drag and Drop your image into the dropbox on the screen or select an image from your files to upload by clicking Or Select Files to Upload. Please note the images must be in a JPEG, PNG, or GIF format and will be cropped at 530 x 300 pixels.  mceclip4.png
  3. A pop-up window will appear where you can add a description to your image by clicking into the Add a Description textbox or crop your image using the slider in the bottom left corner of the pop-up. After your adjusts are made - click Save.mceclip5.png
  4. The image will then be embedded in your Workout!mceclip6.png

The image will be viewable from the Kiosk on each of the following screens:

  • Workout
  • Coachboard
  • Whiteboard
