We are so excited to get your Branded App live and help your business stand out to current clients and prospects! An Apple Developer account is required to launch your Branded App. Please follow these instructions exactly as they are written to ensure there are no delays in your setup.
Please note that the cost of an Apple Developer account is $99/year and will be paid directly to Apple.
Navigate to Apple Developer
- Go to the Apple Developer Enrollment Page
- Click Start your Enrollment
- Sign in to Apple Developer
- If you have an existing Apple ID, you can use that existing id to sign into Apple Developer. Note that the account must have two-factor authentication enabled.
- If not, you can create a new account by clicking Create Your Apple Account. Please note that an email with your company domain (e.g., yourname@yourcompany.com) is required. Personal emails will not be accepted by Apple.

- You will be prompted to verify your email address and phone number via a code sent to you via email and text. Enter that code when prompted.
- You will then be taken to the Apple Developer Agreement screen.
- Select No to the question "I’d like to receive communications announcing the latest events, news, and updates for Apple developers".
- Click Agree
- You will be prompted to customize your experience. Click, "I'm not interested".
Complete Apple Developer Program Enrollment
- You will then be prompted to enroll with the Apple Developer App. Click "Continue enrollment on the web" at the bottom of this screen.
- Fill out all of your personal information. Make sure that you use your full legal name (no nicknames), as this name cannot be changed after you click Continue on this screen.
- You will then be prompted to select your entity type.
- You MUST select Company/Organization as your entity type. Failure to select this type will result in significant delays in the setup process.
- Click Continue
- Please note you will need to have the following to continue setting up as a business:
- Legal Entity Status: To enroll in a developer program, your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into legal agreements with Apple. We do not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches. The legal entity name must correspond with the tax ID you plan to use and will appear on your product page for apps you may distribute on the App Store and Mac App Store. Example: Seller: ABC Company, Inc.
- The Authority to Sign Legal Documents: As the person enrolling your organization in a developer program, you must have the legal authority to bind your organization to legal agreements. You must be the organization’s owner/founder, executive team member, senior project lead, or an employee with legal authority granted to you by a senior employee.
- A Website: Your organization’s website must be publicly available, and the domain name must be associated with your organization.
- A work email: Your email address with your organization’s domain name.
- A D-U-N-S Number: Your organization must have a D-U-N-S® Number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. You can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S® Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions.
- Please note that if you are not sure what your D-U-N-S number is, you can look it up using this D-U-N-S Lookup page.
- You will then be taken to the Tell us about your organization screen
- Fill out your Legal Entity name
- Fill out your D-U-N-S number
- Click Continue
- You will be taken to a final page where you can review all the information you have previously entered. If everything is correct, click "Submit".
- If your account is automatically approved, you will be redirected to the Apple Store to finalize the purchase of your Developer account.
- If your account requires further review by Apple, you will receive an email in the next 3 days letting you know that you can finalize the purchase.
- About 24 hours after the payment, you should receive an email confirming you're successfully enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.
- Congrats, you've completed your first step to get your Branded App live!
