Why This Matters
Members Insights answers one of the most common questions gym owners ask: "How many members do I have?"
Every business counts members a little differently. Some only count paying clients, some count specific membership types, and some care about who is active at the start of each month. Members Insights lets you decide what makes someone a member for your business, using saved filters. Wodify then uses that definition to report on member growth, retention, tenure, and revenue over time.
Prerequisites: Insights are available on the following tiers - Grow, Promote, Free Unlimited, Accelerate & Ultimate
How a Member is Defined
In Members Insights, a Member is a client who holds memberships that match your filters, tracked month by month to reflect their ongoing engagement with your gym.
Use these filters to control who counts:
| Filter | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Location | View one location or all locations together |
| Max Role Name | Which client roles are included |
| Membership | Include only specific memberships |
| Membership Type | Include only specific membership types |
| Payment Plan | Filter by the payment plan a member is on |
| Payment Plan Type | Filter by how members are paying |
| Paid Membership Status | Include or exclude non-paying or complimentary memberships |
| Require Active on First | Count a member only if active on the first of the month, or count any activity during the month |
Your filters are saved, so the same definition is applied each time you return to the dashboard.

FAQs
How often is the data updated?
Wodify Insights and reports update daily - you can check to see when the data was last updated and when it will update next by checking the top of the dashboard!
If I change my filters, will my member count change?
Yes. The dashboard applies your current filters to your full history. It shows how many members you have had over time based on that definition, so changing a filter updates both your current count and your past counts.
Why doesn't my member count match another report?
Other reports may use a different definition of a member. Members Insights counts only clients who match the filters you set on this dashboard.
Can I see who is included in a number?
Yes. Click into any chart to see the list of members behind it.
