Guided Access (iOS) and Screen Pinning (Android) are features that help you stay focused on a single app by restricting your device to that app. This can be useful for using Wodify's Self-Service Point of Sale (POS) system on a mobile browser, ensuring that customers stay within the Self Service section and not access other parts of the software, nor the device.
In this article, we'll cover:
- Turning on Guided Access for iOS
- Using Guided Access WIth Wodify POS
- Configuring Guided Access
- Ending Guided Access
- For Android Users: Enabling Screen Pinning

Using Guided Access with Wodify POS
- Click on the arrow icon in the bottom left, access Point of Sale:
- From the Point of Sale screen, click Self Service
This will bring you to the Self-Service Point of Sale screen:
Using Guided Access
-
Activate Guided Access: Triple-click the Home button (or the Side button on devices without a Home button).
-
The Guided Access screen will appear, where you can adjust settings—such as disabling touch in specific areas or turning off hardware buttons.
-
Tap Start in the top-right corner to begin the Guided Access session.
Tip: You can restrict the browser navigation bar (Back, Refresh, URL bar) to prevent members from navigating away from the current page.
Configuring Guided Access
-
Before starting, tap Options in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
-
From here, you can disable features such as the Sleep/Wake button, Volume buttons, Motion, Keyboards, Touch, or set a Time Limit.
-
To block interaction with specific parts of the screen, circle the area you want to disable. This is especially useful for preventing accidental taps on certain parts of the Self Service screen.
Ending Guided Access
-
Triple-click the Home button (or Side button on devices without a Home button).
-
Do one of the following:
-
Enter your Guided Access passcode.
-
If enabled, use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock.
-
-
Tap End in the top-left corner of the screen to exit Guided Access.
For Android Users: Enabling Screen Pinning
Android devices also allow you to pin apps or web pages, ensuring that guests using the device can only access the Self Service POS screen. Because Android is used by many different manufacturers, the steps to enable this feature may vary slightly depending on your device.
For detailed instructions, please refer to Google’s official support guide on Screen Pinning.
Note: If you forget your Guided Access passcode on iOS, you may need to restart your device to disable it. The same applies if your device becomes unresponsive—you’ll need to restart it to exit Guided Access.
