Communication Templates for Marketing Email

Tired of writing the same email over and over again? Wodify's new Marketing Email Templates are here to save the day (and your valuable time!). Now you can create reusable templates for all your common communications, whether you're sending updates to clients, reaching out to leads, or keeping your staff in the loop. This article will walk you through everything you need to know to start maximizing efficiency with Marketing Email Templates.

Creating and Managing Templates

Let's dive into how to create and manage your email templates. It's easier than you think!

  1. Go to Communication > Templates to manage your gym’s selection of available templates.
  2. Click Create Template to create a new template and edit it just like a Marketing Email. Note that recipient selection and sending information are not included in the template.
    • You can add attachments, which will be included in Marketing Emails when they use the template.
    • You can preview your template and send test emails to ensure it appears as intended.
    • You can add tags to categorize and organize your templates for easy retrieval.
    • By default, new templates are saved in Draft status. To make your template available for use, change its status to Published.



  3. You can create a template based on an existing Marketing Email
    • Go to Communication > Marketing Email > Click the 3 dots > Save As Template
    • From the Marketing Email editor, click Actions > Save As Template
    • This will save an existing Marketing Email as a new Template in Draft status

 

Tip: Rich Text Templates can also created! Simply click the Rich Text Header at the top, then create the template from there.

Using Templates

Now that you've created some awesome templates, it's time to put them to use! Here's how to easily incorporate your saved templates into your Marketing Emails.

Creating a Marketing Email from a Template

  • From Templates: Go to Communication > Templates, select the desired template, and click Actions > Use in Marketing Email.
  • From Marketing Emails: Go to Communication > Marketing Emails > Create Email > From Template. The sidebar will only show Published templates.

Applying a Template to an Existing Marketing Email

  1. Open the Marketing Email you want to edit.
  2. Click Actions > Use Template. This will overwrite any existing content in the Marketing Email (but keeps the sending information).

 

Template Library

Not sure where to start with your templates? Wodify offers a library of pre-built templates to give you a head start.

  • From the Templates page, click the Template Library button to view and preview available pre-built templates

  • Selecting Add to My Templates copies the Wodify template to your gym's templates, with "Created By" set as the admin who copied it.

    • There is no connection between the Template Library's templates and those that are copied to a gym's templates.


Note: the Template Library will continue to be updated over time. Please reach out to support@wodify.com if you have suggestions for useful generic templates.

 

Saved Rows

In addition to whole-email Templates, you can save individual Rows from the Drag & Drop Editor! These are useful for common headers, footers, and complex layout blocks that you don’t want to build over and over.

These are available in both Marketing Emails and Workflows Emails. Always use the Preview feature to make sure placeholders are working properly in your emails; they behave differently in Markating Emails and Workflows!

 

To create a Saved Row:

  • Select a Row in an existing email or template, then click the 'Save' icon in the top right corner of the Row
  • Go to Communication > Templates > Saved Rows and click “Create Row”

To edit a Saved Row:

  1. Go to Communication > Templates > Saved Rows
  2. Click on an existing Row, then make changes
    • These changes don’t apply to emails you’ve already added this Row to; they only affect where you add the Row from then on


To use a Saved Row:

  1. In the Drag & Drop Editor, click on Rows.
  2. Change Empty Rows to Saved Rows.
  3. Drag the Saved Row to where you want to drop it in the email.
