Pre-Requisite Pro-Tip

In order for blog posts to be discoverable on your website, you must have a Blog landing page. You may add blog posts without one, but visitors will only be able to see them if they have the exact URL for the post itself. If you do not have a Blog landing page on your Wodify site yet, please contact support@wodify.com to request one. Pro Tip

Before you dive into the mechanics of creating a blog post, check out our Blog Content Strategy & Tips article for guidance on what to write about, how to structure your posts for SEO and online visibility, and how to keep readers engaged.

How to Create a New Blog Post

  1. Click on Blog on the left side of the site editor.
  2. Click + New Post in the top left corner.
  3. In the Create New Post screen that appears, add your post title, author, and main image. You may edit this later in the post settings.
  4. Click Start, then a new draft page will open on the blog editor. Below the main header is an inner row where you can start writing your blog post. You will see a placeholder subtitle, image, and text - you may choose to delete the subtitle and image if you prefer.
  5. At the top of the post will be a gray navigation bar. From here, you can toggle between posts, undo or redo changes, preview your post on different devices, view the post settings, publish your post, or schedule your post’s publication.
  6. When you have finished writing your blog post, click Publish Post in the top right corner of the editor.

How to Schedule a Blog Post

  1. To schedule a time for your blog to be posted, click the clock icon at the top of the editor.
  2. Click Schedule Post and pick the date and time you want the post to be published.
  3. Click Save to save your changes and set the blog to publish at the scheduled time.

How to Edit an Existing Blog Post

  1. From the Blog menu in the site editor, you can manage all of your posts. From here you can edit posts, view each post’s settings, preview the post, duplicate posts, delete posts, or publish/republish posts.
  2. To edit the blog’s settings, click Blog Settings on the left menu. This screen allows you to change the title, author, or main image of your blog.
  3. If any changes are made, click Republish to send your changes live.

FAQs

Q: My blog post is published, but it’s not showing up on my website.

A: First, confirm that you have a Blog landing page set up. Without one, posts can only be reached by direct URL. If you do have a landing page and the post still isn’t appearing, double-check that the post is published (not in draft or scheduled status). If everything looks correct and you still need help, contact support@wodify.com.

Q: Can I unschedule or change the publish time of a scheduled post?

A: Yes. To unschedule or change the publish time of a scheduled post, open the scheduled post and click the gear icon to open the post settings. From there, click Edit Schedule to update the publication date and time. To unschedule the post entirely, click Cancel Scheduling. The post will return to draft (unpublished) status until you publish it manually or schedule another time.

Q: What’s a good length and format for a blog post?

A: For SEO (search engine optimization) and reader engagement, we generally recommend blog posts in the 600–1,500-word range with clear headings, short paragraphs, and at least one supporting image. For a deeper dive on what to write and how to structure it, see our Blog Content Strategy & Tips article.
