Why This Matters
Your primary call-to-action (CTA) is the single most important conversion driver on your Wodify Site — it's the action you're asking every visitor to take. Choosing the right CTA for your business meaningfully affects how many prospects you turn into leads and, eventually, members. The right choice depends on what your business offers, who you're trying to attract, and how you prefer to engage with new prospects.
The Four Primary CTA Options
1. Free Trial
Prospects book a free class via Wodify's Online Sales Portal (OSP).
- Best for: Businesses that want prospects to experience a real class — typically CrossFit gyms or programs where the class itself is the primary draw. New visitor information is captured and added as a lead in your system.
- Things to consider: Jumping straight into a class can feel intimidating for complete beginners, which may lower conversion for that segment. If your audience skews toward newcomers, pair this option with strong "all levels welcome" messaging — or consider Free Intro instead.
- Prerequisite: Your OSP class scheduling must be set up before this option will work properly.
2. Free Intro
Prospects book a free intro appointment (a conversation — no workout) via your OSP.
- Best for: Businesses that want to welcome prospects of all experience levels. A coach can chat with them, understand their goals, and explain how the experience works in a low-pressure setting. Visitor information is captured and added as a lead in your system.
- Things to consider: Free intros are scheduled as appointments rather than classes, so this option requires more coach time per prospect. Conversion happens through conversation, which works best for businesses with sales-oriented coaches.
- Prerequisite: Your OSP appointment scheduling must be set up before this option will work properly.
3. Drop-In
Prospects book a paid drop-in session via OSP.
- Best for: Businesses with a lot of out-of-town visitors or boutique-style offerings (yoga studios, specialty fitness, etc.) where drop-in sessions are the primary product rather than memberships. Visitor information is still captured in your system as a drop-in record.
- Things to consider: Drop-in is the only option where the prospect pays upfront. It works best when there's clear demand for a single-session experience, and is less effective as a lead-gen tool if your goal is to convert visitors into long-term members.
- Prerequisite: Drop-in pricing must be configured in OSP before this option will work properly.
4. Lead Form
Prospects fill out a form on your site, and your team reaches out to schedule next steps.
- Best for: Businesses that want maximum flexibility on how to follow up. Lead forms have the lowest barrier to entry — a prospect submits their info, and your team decides the best next step (invite to a class, schedule an intro, send pricing, etc.). All submissions are captured as leads. Button text can say "Book Free Intro" or any phrase that fits your offer.
- Things to consider: Because the form doesn't require the prospect to commit to a specific action, your team must be prepared to follow up promptly. Slow response time can cost you prospects to faster-responding competitors.
How to Change Your Primary CTA
Changing your primary CTA typically involves updating buttons across your homepage, landing pages, navigation, and other areas of your site. To keep everything consistent, we recommend contacting our team rather than updating everything manually.
- Email support@wodify.com with the CTA option you'd like to switch to (or describe what you have in mind).
- The Wodify Sites team will scan your site and make the changes for you to ensure consistency.
Switching to a Lead Form
If you're currently using an OSP option (Free Trial, Free Intro, or Drop-In) and want to switch to a Lead Form, contact support@wodify.com. Our team needs to build and install the form on your site before it can go live.
Updating Button Text or Styling Only
If you're not switching the underlying CTA action and only want to update button text or styling (e.g., changing "Book Free Class" to "Try It Free"), you can make those edits yourself. See Update Buttons on Your Wodify Site for instructions.
FAQs
"Do I have to choose just one CTA?" → Yes — your primary CTA should be a single, consistent action across your site so visitors have a clear next step. Contact support@wodify.com if you're unsure which option fits your business model best.
"Can I update my CTA text without changing what it does?" → Yes. If you're only updating the button label or styling (not the underlying action), you can do that yourself. See Update Buttons on Your Wodify Site.
"What if my OSP isn't set up yet?" → Free Trial, Free Intro, and Drop-In all require OSP to be configured before they'll work. If your OSP isn't set up, start there first — or use the Lead Form option as an interim CTA, since it doesn't require OSP.
