FAQs
How do I purchase a Wodify Payments Card Reader?
You can order a Card Reader directly in Wodify Core: go to Financial > Settings > Credit Card Reader > + Order Compatible Reader from Stripe. Fill out the order form, click Submit, and you should see a green confirmation banner once the request has been received.
How many Card Readers can I purchase?
By default, you can purchase up to two Card Readers per order. If you have a higher-volume use case (for example, multiple front desk kiosks or large multi-gym operations) and need more than two readers, please reach out to Wodify Support to discuss your needs before placing additional orders.
I don’t see the Card Reader tab in my account.
If you do not see the Credit Card Reader settings in Wodify Core, check the following:
Wodify Payments is enabled for your business. The Card Reader is only available to Wodify Payments customers. Wodify
Your business is located in a supported country/region: Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, or eligible Eurozone countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Portugal). Wodify+1
If both are true and you still do not see the tab, contact Wodify Support.
What is the default PIN for my Card Reader?
The default device PIN is 07139. Wodify
Use this PIN whenever the device prompts you to unlock settings or confirm administrative actions.
How do I access settings on my Card Reader?
From the Card Reader:
Swipe from the left edge of the screen to open the settings menu. Wodify
Enter the device PIN (07139) if prompted.
From here, you can adjust WiFi, language, and other device settings.
To conserve battery, tap the power button once to lock/unlock the screen, or press and hold it to shut down the device when not in use. Wodify
Will the Card Reader save my client’s card on file?
Yes. When you successfully process a payment with the Card Reader:
The card used is saved to the client’s profile.
If the client does not have a default payment method, the new card becomes their default payment method. Wodify
At this time, the Card Reader cannot be used solely to save a card without charging the client.
Where can I use the Card Reader in Wodify?
The Wodify Payments Card Reader is supported in the following areas: Wodify
Financial > Invoices – to collect in-person payment on client invoices.
Retail (Point of Sale) – to process in-person retail transactions at your front desk or pro shop.
Drop-ins via Kiosk+ – to accept payment from drop-ins directly from your Kiosk+ Sign-In Panel.
Online Sales Portal and other purely online flows continue to use standard online payment processing without the Card Reader.
Can I use the native iOS POS app with the Card Reader on an iPad?
To use the Card Reader with an iPad, you must run Wodify Core in a browser (for example, Safari or Chrome) and access POS at https://app.wodify.com/PointOfSale/ProductsEntry.aspx. The Card Reader is not supported with the native iOS POS experience.
Why is the Card Reader screen blinking or losing charge unexpectedly?
A blinking screen or unexpected shutdown is often related to low battery or charging issues. First, ensure:
The battery is installed correctly.
You are using a recommended power source (e.g., the included cable with a 10W+ wall adapter or approved cradle).
If the device continues to lose charge unexpectedly, follow Stripe’s WisePOS E battery troubleshooting steps or contact Wodify Support if you suspect a hardware issue. Stripe Support
