How Do I Edit My Wodify Site?

Why This Matters

Your Wodify Site is built so you can keep it current without waiting on anyone. Most day-to-day updates, such as new class times, a coach who just joined, a fresh photo, or a price change, take a few minutes in the website editor. Some changes affect your site's structure, design, or connections to Wodify Core, and the Wodify Sites team handles those to keep everything working and consistent.

Use this article to find the line quickly: if it's on the "You" side, open the editor and go; if it's on the "Sites team" side, send one email and we'll take care of it.

📋 Pro Tip / Prerequisites: Your site must be launched. During the build, use Site Comments to send all feedback to the Sites team instead of editing directly. A quick rule of thumb once you're live: changing what existing content says, shows, or links to is yours; adding, removing, restructuring, or reconnecting is ours.

Two Ways to Make a Change

Option 1: Make the Edit Yourself

Scroll down for more details on what types of edits you're able to make yourself with our standard level of Wodify Site editor permissions, as well as links to details on how to approach each edit type.

  1. In Wodify Core, navigate to Web & Mobile > Websites
  2. Click Open Website Editor then click Edit Site.
  3. Find your change in the categories below and follow the linked article for specific instructions.
  4. Click Republish in the top-right of the editor to send your changes live.

Having trouble making edits yourself and want help learning how to self-manage your site? We're happy to provide training - send a request to support@wodify.com and we'll set up a time.

Option 2: Request it From the Sites Team

  1. Email support@wodify.com.
  2. Include the page URL, a clear description of the change(s), and any specific images or copy you want used.
  3. The Sites team will review your request and make the change or follow up with questions, typically within 1-2 business days.

What You Can Edit vs. What the Sites Team Handles

Every request falls into one of the categories below. Each category tells you what to do yourself and what to send to support@wodify.com.

Text

  • You: Edit any existing text block, including font, size, color, and links on static pages. Update dynamic text (dotted purple box) through CMS > Collections. See Update Text on Wodify Sites.
  • Sites team: Font, size, or color changes to Collection-connected text. Adding or removing text sections.

Images

  • You: Replace background images (CMS > Business Data > Business Images), image widgets (images within body content), static gallery photos, and your logo (Business Info). See Update Images on Your Wodify Site.
  • Sites team: Images you can't locate in Business Images (older sites), and any image that stays locked after trying the methods in the article.

Buttons

Forms

  • You: On Custom Forms, edit field labels, add or remove fields, set required fields, change button text, update the notification email, and edit the success message. On Wodify Lead Forms, generate new code in Core (People > Settings > Lead) and swap it into the HTML widget. See How to Edit Forms on Wodify Sites.
  • Sites team: Adding or removing forms, building and installing a Lead Form, unlocking a form that shows "This content cannot be edited," and changing your pricing page setup (Gate, Form, or Open). See Pricing Page Best Practices.

Business Information

  • You: Update your business name, logo, address, phone, email, social handles, and hours in one place (CMS > Business Data > Business Info). Connect your Google Business Profile from the same screen. See Update Business Information and Sync with Google Business Profile.
  • Sites team: Business info that doesn't update site-wide after you Republish (a broken connection), and multi-location Google Business Profile setups.

Programs

  • You: On dynamic program pages, edit, add, or hide programs in the Programs Collection. On static program pages, edit the text, images, and buttons directly on each page. See Edit Program Pages on Wodify Sites.
  • Sites team: Adding or removing static program pages, switching between static and dynamic setups, and design changes to the dynamic program template.

Coaches

  • You: With an internal collection, add, edit, hide, reorder, or remove coaches in the Employees Collection. With the Core integration, manage bios in Core, control visibility and order under Web & Mobile > Online Sales > Settings > Coach Line Up, and click Refresh Data in the editor. See Edit Coach Bios and About the Coach Bio Integration.
  • Sites team: Connecting or disconnecting the Coach Bio Integration.

Schedule

  • You: With a schedule widget, add, edit, hide, reorder, or remove classes in the Program Schedule Collection. With an embedded Core schedule, class time changes made in Core appear automatically. See Edit Schedules on Wodify Sites.
  • Sites team: Replacing a widget with the embedded Core schedule, and changing embedded schedule settings such as layout or which programs display.

Blog

  • You: Create, edit, schedule, duplicate, delete, and publish posts, and update Blog Settings. See Create Blog Posts on Wodify Sites.
  • Sites team: Setting up a Blog landing page, enabling the AI Assistant in the text widget, and deeper SEO analysis beyond free tools.

Pages, Layout, and Fixes

  • You: Preview and Republish the site after any edit.
  • Sites team: Adding or removing pages, changing page layout or site structure, restoring a Collection connection that broke after a direct edit, and fixing missing access to the website editor.

FAQs

"I clicked something and saw 'This content cannot be edited. Contact your administrator.' Does that mean I need the Sites team?" → Not always. That message usually means the content may be connected to a Collection, and you can edit it through CMS > Collections. If you can't find a matching Collection, or the element is a form or HTML widget, email support@wodify.com.

"I changed something on one page and it changed everywhere. Did I break it?" → In some cases if you edited a Collection, that's expected: one edit updates every place the Collection's data is connected. If you edited directly on the page and other pages changed, the connection likely was disrupted. Contact support@wodify.com and we'll take a look and restore it as needed.

"How long do Sites team requests take?" → Timelines depend on the scope of the request and current volume. We'll give you an estimate when you reach out; initial builds take approximately 3 weeks, while most post-publication edits can be expected within 1-2 business days.
